Jurassic Trek: Oath of Celibacy

We've now moved on to the Movie-Era TOS comic strips.  This on comes from the Motion Picture, which is parodied as "the slow motion picture".  Commentary on this is interesting.  I remember watching the motion picture and I found it odd that they needed to mention the oath of celibacy - It is the future, and starfleet is a military organization (in some part) - why bother? :-/
